பூமியில் இருந்து அதிகபட்சம் 1,500,000 km தூரத்தில் இது நிலைநிறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. பூமியில் இருந்து இது இருக்கும் குறைந்தபட்ச தொலைவே 374,000 km தூரம் ஆகும்.

ஜேம்ஸ் வெப் எடுத்த புகைப்படத்தை பற்றி பார்க்கலாம். குட்டி குட்டி நட்சத்திரங்கள், மினிமைஸ் செய்யப்பட்ட பிரபஞ்ச கூட்டங்கள், நட்சத்திர கூட்டங்கள் என்று எல்லாம் அடங்கிய புகைப்படம்தான் அது. ஒரு பிடி மண்ணை கையில் வைத்து உங்கள் தோள் பட்டையில் கேமரா வைத்து கையில் உள்ள மண்ணை போட்டோ எடுத்தால் எப்படி இருக்கும். அப்படித்தான் விண்வெளியில் ஒரு பிடி மண் அளவிற்கு உள்ள குறிப்பிட்ட பகுதியை மட்டும் படம் பிடித்து ஜேம்ஸ் வெப் அனுப்பி உள்ளதாக நாசா வர்ணித்து உள்ளது.

நட்சத்திர பொருத்தம் என்பது கணவன் மனைவி இருவருக்கும் இடையே தினமும் பரிமாறும் புரிந்துணர்வினை குறிக்கும் பொருத்தம் ஆகும். இப் பொருத்தமானது தின பொருத்தம் என்றும் நக்ஷத்ர பொருத்தம் என்றும் அழைக்கப்படும்.
