The World's largest Nataraja statue made from 'Ashtadhatu' (eight metals) has been installed in front of Bharat Mandapam, which is the venue for the G20 summit in the national capital.

The 27 feet tall, 18-ton-weight statue is the tallest statue made of Ashtadhatu and is sculpted by the renowned sculptor Radhakrishnan Sthapaty of Swami Malai in Tamil Nadu and his team in a record 7 months.

The statue was transported to the national capital in four days and a special green corridor was created for its transportation.

கும்பகோணம் அருகே உள்ள திம்மக்குடி கிராமத்தில் வரதராஜன் என்பவர் கேஸ்ட் இன் பிரான்ஸ் கிரியேட்டிவ் என்ற பெயரில் சிற்பச்சாலை நடத்தி கடந்த 24 ஆண்டுகளாக சிலை வடிவமைப்பில் சிறந்து விளங்கி வருகிறார்.

தஞ்சாவூர் பெரிய கோயிலில் இருக்கும் நடராஜர் மற்றும் கோனேரிராஜபுரம் விக்ரகங்கள் சுமார் 1,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் செய்யப்பட்ட மிகவும் பழைமையான வடிவிலானவை. அதேபோன்று முயலவன் மீது ஆனந்த தாண்டவம் ஆடும் வடிவிலான நடராஜர் திருமேனியை வடிவமைக்க வரதராஜன் முடிவு செய்தார். உலகத்திலேயே மிகப்பெரிய நடராஜர் சிலையாகத்தான் வடிவமைக்கும் சிலை இருக்க வேண்டும் எனத் தீர்மானித்தார்.

வேலுார் நாராயண சக்தி பீடத்தின் ஒத்துழைப்போடு நடராஜர் சிலை வடிவமைப்பதற்கான பணிகளை வரதராஜன் தொடங்கினார். கடும்முயற்சியின் பலனாக ரூ 4 கோடி மதிப்பில் நடராஜர் சிலையினைச் செய்து முடித்துள்ளார் வரதராஜன்.

March 2023: The state government of Tamil Nadu, in its budget, allocated funds to Coimbatore metro on Monday. Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan stated that the government plans to allocate approximately Rs 9000 Crores to the Coimbatore metro rail project.

The announcement was made by finance minister Palanivel Thiaga rajan during his budget speech inn the assembly.

Coimbatore Metro will be divided into three phases according to the full project report. Two corridors have been planned in the first phase, with the first connecting Vellalore Bus Terminal to PSG Foundry through Ukkadam Bus Stand and offering airport line connectivity from Park Plaza (totally covering 31.73 km).

The Collectorate Metro will be connected to Valliyum Palayam Pirivu via the second corridor ( 14.13 km).
The Collectorate Metro will be the connecting station for these lines, and it will most likely be built in the Collectorate's eastern end. A brief description of each phase is discussed below.

Nov 26, 2022 PSLV-54

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will launch PSLV-54/EOS-06 mission with Oceansat-3 and eight nano statellites on board from Sriharikota spaceport.

The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C54) will launch the satellites at 11.56 a.m. (Today Nov 26,2022) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. The EOS-6 is a third-generation satellite in the Oceansat series of satellites.

The eight nano satellites

ISRO Nano Satellite-2 for Bhutan (INS-2B),
The INS-2B spacecraft will have two payloads namely NanoMx and APRS-Digipeater.
While the NanoMx is a multi-spectral optical imaging payload developed by Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad, the APRS-Digipeater payload has been jointly developed by the Department of Information Technology and Telecom-Bhutan and the UR Rao Satellite Centre, Bengaluru.
